Cooperation New Orleans offers different pathways of support for those looking to organize projects that support our local solidarity economy. Our intake form below will help us to determine whether your project is aligned with our current capacity, and which pathway might be best suited for your project. This support is offered free of charge to aligned groups that are led by Black and Indigenous New Orleanians - this means 3/4 or more of a project's members identify as Black, brown, or indigenous, with deep ties to New Orleans. Projects that fall outside of that demographic may still fill out our inquiry form, and select the "fee for service" option.
Solidarity Economy Projects
We provide short term support for Black and Indigenous led groups collectivizing to meet their needs.
This includes collectives, mutual aid groups, organizations, food sovereignty projects, land projects, shared service models, and other solidarity economy enterprises.
Support may include educational offerings on the solidarity economy, frameworks and documents for strong collective processes, provide some needed technical support, and act as an ongoing resource in their cooperative journey.
Co-op Readiness
We provide customized support to help groups strengthen their worker-owned cooperative business at various stages of development.

Support may include short-term technical assistance to address specific needs, or long term incubation for start-ups, conversions, or co-ops in need of development support.
Loan Readiness
Cooperation New Orleans Loan Fund is
a community-based loan fund that provides technical assistance, business development, and non-extractive capital to worker-owned cooperatives seeking a loan.
We work to prepare active worker-owned cooperatives to take on debt capital to advance their co-ops.

General Intake Form
Our general intake form takes an average of two five minutes to complete.
Once submitted, someone will follow up with you within two weeks with some information and potential next steps.
Please note that we are a group of part time organizers and contractors who want see this movement grow, and we strive to move at a pace that reflects a commitment to be present for each project we support. If aligned, it may take anywhere from a two weeks to a couple of months to begin working together.
